This college consortium is committed to developing its staff to become leaders.

Building on over 15 years of success in leadership programmes for Future, Middle and Senior Managers, the client has employed HDC Training to develop and deliver the Future and Middle Managers Leadership and Management programme.

Challenge

The Future and Middle Manager programmes have been running for 12 years. The primary challenge is to continually develop the programme to address the leadership needs of the ever changing Sixth Form education sector, with the awareness that the colleges who have invested in the management training have done so to make their leaders and organizations more effective.

The constant updating and redevelopment of the content and delivery methods also has the additional requirement of ensuring that the content and participant support always address the ILM Level 5 certification specifications and accreditation requirements of the course.

Solution

Delivering these programmes involves collaborating with the client and college leadership as well at the accrediting body and subject specialist associates. It also involves the expertise of Dr Helen Deane, whose research interest includes and looking at different ways of understanding and delivering leadership development programmes at all levels in the education sector.

Results

Based on these elements, HDC continues to develop and deliver successful programmes with the Client and boasts a 100% pass rates for all who have completed the ILM accreditation.
